Biography:

Hunter Orland

Hunter was born and raised in her native island of Guåhan. She is fascinated in showing everyday life through humorous fantasy.  Through Hunter's observation, people naturally want to touch artwork. She believes one of sculpture and ceramics' strong points is its ability to be experienced with senses other than sight. Influenced by her observation and background in the performing arts, she wishes to create a body of work which permits interaction.

Her work includes pottery and mixed-media sculptures that can be eaten, touched, or worn. Hunter’s other influences include crochet, baking, and traditional ceramics found in Korea and Japan.
